Our memberships are considered things: a defined number of introductions, hand-selected over an agreed term, by matchmakers who know you well. For most of our members, one of them fits precisely.

For some, however, no defined service quite answers. A life lived between countries; a public position that asks for more than the usual care; circumstances in which the search should be shaped around the person, rather than the person around the search. The Bespoke Membership exists for them.

Nothing about it is standard.

The length of your membership, the reach of your search, the people involved in it, and the support around it are all composed with you, in conversation — and set down in a proposal written for you alone.

The Founder's Involvement

The County Register was founded in 1983 by Heather Heber Percy, and she remains personally involved in the agency to this day. Every Bespoke Membership is conducted under her personal oversight, supported by a dedicated senior matchmaker who becomes your single point of contact throughout.

We accept only a small number of these memberships at any one time.

That is not a flourish; it is what personal oversight requires.

A Search Without Borders

Many of the people we serve live in more than one place. Others simply know that the right person may not be found within these shores. The Bespoke Membership is the only County Register membership in which the search extends internationally — to the countries where you live, work, or spend part of the year.

Wherever the search leads, our standards travel with it. Every individual we put forward — at home or abroad — has been interviewed and identity-verified before their details are shared with anyone. Distance changes the geography of a search; it changes nothing about the care with which it is conducted.

A dedicated senior matchmaker as your single point of contact, with your search overseen personally by Heather Heber Percy. Reviews take place wherever suits you — your home, our Mayfair office, or our Warwickshire headquarters.

A relationship expert available across the whole of your membership — before introductions, between them, and as something promising begins to take shape.
Every Practical Detail, Considered

Your profiling interview conducted wherever you wish. Photography arranged around you, at a place of your choosing. Styling and image consultancy, where wanted. And, where you would find it useful, the practical arrangements around your introductions handled quietly by the team.

Confidentiality is the foundation of everything we do, at every level of membership. At this level, it is engineered into every step. Your details are shared only with individuals you have approved, one at a time; there is no profile, nothing online, nothing searchable — there never has been, in more than forty years. And for members whose position requires it, the search can be conducted so that you are never put forward to anyone: introductions move in one direction only, from us to you.

These undertakings are not marketing language.

They are obligations, formalised in your Membership Agreement — and matched by the confidentiality every member owes in return.

The First Conversation

The Bespoke Membership begins as it means to continue: privately, and in person.

A Private Consultation

A confidential conversation — by telephone, in Mayfair, or at your home — to understand your circumstances, what you are seeking, and whether this membership is right for you. We are honest at this stage above all others; where a Signature or Executive membership would serve you better, we will say so.
A Proposal, Written for You

If we agree the fit is right, we compose a proposal setting out the shape of your membership — its term, its reach, the people involved — together with the fee.
Your Membership Begins

An in-depth profiling interview, wherever suits you, followed by the first hand-selected introductions.

Is the Bespoke Membership simply a larger version of your other memberships?

No. Our other memberships offer a defined service at a defined fee, and they serve most of our members admirably. The Bespoke Membership is composed individually: its term, its scope, and the services within it are agreed in conversation and set out in a proposal written for you alone.

What does international matching involve?

Where your life extends beyond the United Kingdom, so may your search. Introductions abroad are conducted with precisely the same care as at home: every individual is interviewed and identity-verified before any details are shared.

Who will conduct my search?

A dedicated senior matchmaker, who remains your single point of contact throughout, working under the personal oversight of our founder, Heather Heber Percy.

How much does it cost?

Each Bespoke Membership is priced individually, reflecting the shape of the membership composed for you. The fee is set out in your written proposal following the private consultation.

Is my membership confidential?

Entirely. There is no online profile and nothing searchable; your details are shared only with individuals you have approved. Confidentiality obligations — ours and yours — are formalised in the Membership Agreement.

Do you accept every application?

No. We accept only a small number of Bespoke Memberships at any one time, and — as at every level — we reserve the right to decline an application where we do not believe we can serve someone well.
