The County Register was formed all of those years ago by Heather Heber Percy and almost half a lifetime on from those heady days of the early 1980s, she is still heavily involved with the company today, overseeing everything that happens day to day and keeping the standards of our service as high as possible.
What We Do
The world is almost unrecognisable from how it was in 1983, it was the early years of Margaret Thatcher’s Premiership in the UK, Ronald Reagan was the US President and the Berlin Wall was still very much intact, but within The County Register things have changed little. Sure we have embraced technology, a state of the art matchmaking system and we are now part of a bigger company, to be able to offer a much wider choice of matches, but in terms of service to our members, it is still the same high quality personal service that it always was. With every member personally interviewed, ID checked and carefully vetted but treated very much as a person and an individual rather than an anonymous dating profile on an online site.
Our Matchmaking Services
We offer 5 different levels of membership that offer a huge amount of choice. Understandably because of the nature of the highly personal service that we offer, it is usually more expensive to join us than an online site, where you’re largely alone and with very minimal support, building your own profile, uploading your photographs and trawling through literally hundreds of poorly constructed profiles of others to find your matches, sometimes with photographs that are a decade or more out of date.
In recent years many people have voted with their feet and decided that online dating is not the way forward for them and as a consequence have flooded back to personal matchmaking company’s such as The County Register, to find the support and expertise that we feel is necessary for success.
