As a Dating Agency, The County Register has been around a long time, 40 years next year in 2023. As it was way back in 1983 when two young mum’s Heather Heber Percy and Geraldine Turner, began chatting about loneliness and the need to do something about it, outside the school gates as they waited for their children to re-join them after a day in class.

Our annual Matchmaker of the Year Awards for the year 2021 took place at the Kings Court Hotel, Kings Coughton, Warwickshire, and a splendid evening was enjoyed by all. People travelled great distances to be with us, from as faraway as West London, Surrey and Hampshire, which was very much appreciated and gave the evening the prestige, gravitas and glamour that it deserved.

None of us expected the year 2020 to be one of such isolation and fear of this terrible virus that grips our world we live in. It started with such hope and a vision for many of starting anew and the hope of finding love. However, social distancing does not mean that we have to put our future on hold. In fact, quite the contrary, this can be the perfect time to get to know someone. By taking a slower, more traditional approach to dating, we can build a lasting relationship, based on knowledge and personality with no external distractions.

Relationships Later in Life

At The County Register we believe it is inevitable, for one reason or another, that sometimes we find ourselves alone and looking for a relationship later in life. It could be due to a divorce or sadly becoming widowed, but whatever the reason, we may find ourselves seeking companionship, and finding that the way people date has changed dramatically over the years that we have been away. It could also be the case that your career has always been the forefront of your priorities but now you have established a successful and lucrative business, you find yourself wishing for someone to enjoy your free time or perhaps even retirement with.
